I am working on the InDesign tutorial for the classes I will be instructing. The program is so voluminous that I am just going to touch on the basics to get them started. I am going to allow KS to borrow my book during the time period. I am still working with a lot of teachers who have a lot of ideas. This is the fun part. I did only have a half day because I became ill so I will have to play catch up tomorrow and get prepared for the coaches' open house affair, which will only be attended by a few. Whoever uttered the phrase "build it and they will come" did not deal with teachers. I know some will show up but not many.

The exciting news today is a search engine called eyeplorer. I know its primary function is tied to wikipedia, but I do feel it serves a useful purpose. It shows relative connections between facts and lesser known facts about topics. It purports to search the web, but it does it after the fact. I believe that it is the future of search engines. I also created my tutorial for movie maker and worked on other technology related items. I just met with the network guru who, I believe solved the problem with graduation and inclement weather. It has been a pain in the past to broadcast graduation around the school whenever we had poor weather because our auditorium is so small. I like the use of slingboxes, and I feel we will be able to broadcast it even across the web. Kudos to J. I do believe that is the end of my exciting news. My CFF wiki is finally up and running with some information on it. I plan to use the wiki as a resource and a test ground for teachers at PV, not just CFF teachers. I feel that getting more and more teachers involved with it will generate some interest in the use of technology. The composition of the wiki will revolve around various web sites, software tutorials, etc. I am hoping that teachers will join and become contributors to the site. I just sent the invitation to all CFF teachers. I just love the name wiki, and I am sure it does provide some connotations. Most of the day today dealt with individual problems from students. I also had to work on individual harware problems. Today, I am going to be oot and aboot (I had to add some Canadian idioms to my blog because I love the the people) and see what is happening. I need to get out more and talk with others. I need to do what I say so I will talk with ye tomorrow.
